The Lakeside Golf Course is one of four public courses at Bayou Oaks Golf Club. The other three courses are the Championship, Wisner, and Little. The Lakeside course is not as difficult or as long as the Championship course at 6,045 yards at its longest tees, playing to a par of 70.

The course features a few narrow fairways as well as some wide, open fairways. Sand bunkers and water hazards come into play on some holes, making it the best choice of the four courses for beginning and intermediate golfers. Bayou Oaks Golf Club's Lakeside track is famous for holding the PGA New Orleans Open.
