The 18-hole, private golf course at Colonial Golf and Country Club in Harahan offers 6,399 yards of golf playing to a par of 71. Opened in 1925, the course follows a traditional layout. Tall, beautiful oak trees line the fairways, providing not only a scenic atmosphere but also a bit of challenge to the game. The greens are small and there are strategically placed water hazards that come into play on some holes. Bermuda grass is used on the fairways and the greens. There is also a pro shop, putting green, and an on-site teaching pro on the Colonial Golf and Country Club premises.
